Wingsonic makes swift, secure and durable HDD enclosures
Wingsonic Ltd., a Taiwan based company specialized in the design and manufacturing of internal and external HDD enclosures, will display a series of internal HDD enclosures for PC and industrial applications as well as external enclosures, all of them with the fast HDD replacement structure and special SATA connection.
“For industrial PC cases, we have several internal HDD enclosure models to choose. For example, we have four bays, six bays, eight bays, etc. We can add more bays if needed,” said Raymond Huang, Director at Wingsonic. “More and more industrial system makers are opting for the type of HDD enclosures in their cases to make the replacement of HDDs as easy as replacing VHS cassettes. Wingsonic is a pioneer and engineer in this area.”
“We’ve sold a lot of 3.5” HDD enclosures to DVR and media players. We’ve been doing what others are incapable of or have not thought of even though it might seem too early. We just want to get ready and make our series complete whether for 3.5” or 2.5” HDDs and for different heights such as 9.5 mm and 12.5 mm,” said Michelle Hsu, International Sales Manager at Wingsonic.
Besides the HDD easy in/easy out design, Wingsonic is also well known for its patented NSS connectors, which replace the surface-to-surface contact with point-to-point contact, enabling a HDD to withstand 50,000 times of hot swaps without causing damage to the HDD. The built-in springs in the connector will be pushed back when the HDD is inserted, and will push the HDD out once the door of the enclosure is opened, making inserting and exiting the HDD very easily and smoothly. “You can really feel a big difference between our enclosures and regular enclosures during the process of putting in and taking out a HDD. It all comes down to precision in the structure. The specifications and materials used for making the structure have to be very precise in order for every part to work together, or it can’t work smoothly. That’s why many copycats have tried to copy our enclosures but ended up churning out poor-quality products that can’t work smoothly because they didn’t understand the precision and materials involved,” said Hsu.
“All these years we’ve been making HDD enclosures, we know the importance of making swift, secure, and durable products, and you can count us on that,” said Huang.
For the coming COMPUTEX TAIPEI, Wingsonic will feature the four-bay internal enclosure for housing four 2.5” HDDs that fits into the 5.25” standard space, the 2.5” & 3.5” HDD PP box that provide the protection and easy SATA connection, the external docking that fits both 2.5” and 3.5” HDDs with two USB 3.0 hub, and the 2.5” to 3.5” HDD adapter that can also work as an external enclosure with one USB slot.
